June 9 – 13, 2025Summer Spanish Immersion: Our Summer Spanish Immersion for 6-10 year olds consists of week-long sessions, Monday to Friday, during which students will be engaged in age appropriate, fun activities that expose children to the Spanish language through games, rhymes, stories, acting, songs, music and art. This allows students to alternate weeks or participate consecutively.
Each week is based on a theme from which we introduce and reinforce the use of Spanish through concepts of science, culture and daily life – both here in California and in those locations where Spanish is the first language.

This summer we will open the treasure chest to explore the magic of children’s literature in Spanish through stories with a variety of language, artistic, emotional, physical and musical content that will allow students to continue to develop language skills. Students will experience cultural and temporal concepts through playful activities while stimulating their imagination, creativity and connecting in a positive way with the target language; whether it is their heritage language, second language or foreign language.
The approach of Cuentos Mágicos (Magical Stories) is based on the linguistic development of Spanish through stories, since books are an extraordinary tool in the natural acquisition of vocabulary in context. Engaging stories allow students to stimulate their memory, improve listening and reading comprehension through descriptive images, expose themselves to simple and repetitive vocabulary, role-playing, dramatization and a series of playful activities that allow students to create a positive bond with the target language.
*This is not a session to learn to read in Spanish, but rather to explore and interact with the target language through literature in a playful way.
